TRADITIONAL SONGS

HERE’S THE CATALAN SONG!

It is called “Els tres tambors” which means “The three drums”.

The song is perfomed by the school choir which has the participation of our oldest students. Montse Baiges, one of the school Music teachers, is the choir conductor.

We have done our best so we really hope you like it. We have chosen that song for several reasons: it is a tradional Catalan song, it is quite easy to sing and we think it is nice.

As soon as possible we will upload for you the phonetics.

Here you have the lyrics:

Si n’eren tres tambors
venien de la guerra
i el més petit de tots
porta un ram de rosetes.
Ram, ram, ram, pataplam
porta un ram de rosetes.

La filla del bon rei
ja surt a la finestra
-Tambor, el bon tambor,
si em vols dar una roseta?
Ram, ram, ram pataplam,
si em vols dar una roseta?

-Donzella, qui l’haurà
serà l’esposa meva:
no us donaré jo el ram
que a vós no us pugui prendre.
Ram, ram, ram pataplam,
que a vós no us pugui prendre.

-M’haveu de demanar
al pare i a la mare
Si el sí vos volen far
per mi res no es pot perdre.
Ram, ram, ram, pataplam,
per mi res no es pot perdre.

HERE’S THE CZECH SONG!

Kdybys měla má panenko

Kdybys měla, má panenko, sto ovec,
a já jenom za kloboukem jalovec,
nebudeš má,
není možná,
ani ti to, má panenko, Pán Bůh nedá.

Kdybys měla, má panenko, sto dvorů,
a já jenom otrhanou stodolu,
nebudeš má,
není možná,
ani ti to, má panenko, Pán Bůh nedá.

Kdybys měla, má panenko, dukáty,
a já jenom záplatový kalhoty,
nebudeš má,
není možná,
ani ti to, má panenko, Pán Bůh nedá.

Kdybys měla, má panenko, vinici,
a já jenom za chalupou pšenici,
nebudeš má,
není možná,
ani ti to, má panenko, Pán Bůh nedá.

Kdybys měla, má panenko, půl světa,
a já pásal u sedláka hříbata,
nebudeš má,
není možná,
ani ti to, má panenko, Pán Bůh nedá.
